Pinterest Picks: Summer Cocktails to Get the Party Started

This summer has been one of the hottest yet, and lately we’ve caught ourselves drooling over all the tantalizing summer cocktails on Pinterest. So, we wanted to share our favorite recipes from berry mojitos to run sorbets (yes, really) that will surely cool you down for the remaining summer months. These drinks are perfect for rooftop shindigs, or simply hanging out at your pool solo – just know you’ll be properly toasting the summer with these refreshing drinks!

1. Smokey South Side Cocktail via The Kitchy Kitchen

What You’ll Need:

* 2 ounces mescal

* 1 ounce agave nectar

* 1 ounce lime

* 2 dashes smokey bitters 

* 3 slices cucumbers, 1/4 inch thick 

* 2 sprigs of mint

* Soda water (optional)

 2. Triple Berry Mojitos via How Sweet It Is

What You’ll Need:

* 6-8 fresh mint leaves

* 2 1/2 ounces of mint simple syrup

* 1 ounce of rum

* 1 1/2 ounces of club soda

* 2 ounces of mixed berry juice

* Juice of one lime

* Fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries

 

3. Lime in the Coconut Margarita via Yours Truly

What You’ll Need:

* 1.5 oz silver tequila
* 1.5 oz organic coconut juice 
* 1 oz fresh lime juice
* 1 oz fresh lemon juice
* Salt

4. Grapefruit Guava and Rum Sorbet via The Artful Desperado

What You’ll Need:

* 2 cups guava nectar

* 1/2 cup freshly squeezed grapefruit juice

* 2 sheets gelatin (you can substitute for 1 teaspoon of powdered gelatin)

* 3 tablespoons dark rum of your preference

 

5. Raspberry Sparkler via Gardenista

* 1 lemon

* 1 lime 

* 1 pint fresh raspberries

* 2 tablespoons honey 

* Handful of fresh mint leaves 

* 4 ounces of gin 

* 4 cups of vinho verde
